While touring colleges today, I realized something. My life is speeding up. It’s like I went from driving down a back road to a highway were your foot steps on the petal. I’m almost a legal adult, living on my own, dealing with problems I’ve never faced. I’m anxious but extremely excited!
I feel like just yesterday I was sliding down the steps of my house in my pajamas that match. Waiting outside for the creepy slushy man to come down my hill. Childhood is gone, slowly turning into a fond old memory.
The change into adulthood is terrifying but exciting. The thrill of college is so close I can taste it. One more year of high school. A place I have spent more than half of the last four years. Some may detest it but I enjoy it. It has been a huge part of my life. This last year I am determined to make the most of it. One more year of the norm and then the transcend into an entirely new atmosphere.
Wish me luck.
Kayaking today? I think yes. It’s about 50 outside so I may be a little crazy but it’s okay because it’s a blast.
